Farmer's Tans
Happy Father's Day!
I know this is a little late (that's the story of my life), but I just wanted to thank all of the Fathers in my life, especially Kent. Kent truly is such an amazing father. He feeds the kids, baths them, reads to them, gives them airplane rides, takes them outside to "help" him (even though it adds more work for him), gets up with them in the middle of the night, wakes up with them in the morning and changes their diapers and feeds them breakfast, and most of all he is SO patient with them. Kent is amazing and I always love to watch him with his children. Happy Father's day Honey! We love you! (Lily just begs for her "Da-eee", she's a real Daddy's girl).
This is Kent taking Lily outside to mow the lawn with him. She is so excited, look at her face!
This is Kent reading Luke a bedtime story (Goldilocks and the 3 Bears-Luke's favorite).

The Backhoe...
A few weeks ago Kent rented a backhoe to rearrange our rock stairs. The kids both loved the backhoe and wanted to play on it. The next morning before they come to pick it up, Kent gave them a ride on it.
Kent and Luke in action.
Kent with Luke and Lily.
Lily's face when she had to get off of the backhoe.
Luke hard at work.
Thanks Honey for all of your hard work (and Ken-Kent's dad, for helping) the stairs look awesome. I will post pics of the stairs another time.

Mama's "Helpers"
This morning I made 2 apple pies. Luke of course wanted to help me and Lily had to be up on a stool when she saw that her brother was. How do you keep a 2 year old and a 1 year old busy while you cook? Luke had a liquid measuring cup full of water that he was transferring into a measuring cup using a tablespoon. Lily had the recipe book turning pages for me. They lasted a good 20-30 minutes up there. But needless to say, I had to get them down because every time I turned my back, Lily would try to stand up on her stool. Then, when I would catch her, she would giggle and hurriedly sit back down. She's already such a tease!

Lily and "Aunt" Ju-Ju
When Julie comes over for "Quilting Group" Lily thinks she has to be on Julie's lap or being held by Julie the ENTIRE time! Otherwise she will crawl over to Julie, reach out to her and whine like a little puppy. It's incredible! (This is the only way Julie can get anything done at quilting group if Lily is awake)!
On Saturday I was sitting on a blanket on the ground near Lily. Julie was on a chair. Julie got up to get something and Lily started FREAKING out! She wanted Julie and was mad that she had left. But her MOTHER was sitting right next to her! Like I said. Lily really is Julie's little girl, only born to me.
One more thing. Lily started walking yesterday! She's not terrorizing the place yet but she will stand up on her own and walk to me. Or walk from the couch to the ottoman which is about 3 feet away. Yeah Lily! Walking at 14 months! How sad, my baby is growing up!
