Cancun August 2nd-5th

Kent had a conference in Cancun this year, so of course I went along too! Kent's sister, Melanie, watched Luke and Lily for us (bless her heart!), so it truly was a vacation! In fact, this was the first time we have been away, alone without children, since Luke was born almost 3 years ago!

A man at the airport asked us if we were on our honeymoon! We thought it was pretty funny!

This is the view looking out our balcony. Down below you can see the swimming pool and don't forget the Caribbean in the background. We were right on the beach and it was absolutely beautiful!

This is a picture of Kent before he went to present his paper. He's just so handsome!! This is the view outside our hotel room door. I just loved all of the green foliage!

This is us in the hotel lobby as we are leaving for the airport. It was great to get away and we really can't thank Melanie enough. Our children loved her so much that when Lily woke up the next morning (we got home around midnight) she wouldn't come to me or Kent. She just crying for, "Mama!" and I kept saying, "Lily, Mama is right here!" and Lily would cry, "No! Mama (meaning Melanie)". It took her about 2 hours before she would finally let me get her out of her crib! And when Luke woke up and came up stairs, he started crying and asking for Melanie! Apparently we were easily replaced! We thought it was funny and it was good to know they were so well loved and taken care of.
